Fees & Policies

One hourly rate. No minimums or maximums. Transparency from start to finish.

All fees and expenses are divided equally between the parties, unless otherwise specifically agreed to in writing.

What the rate covers
All time spent in connection with preparing for and attending the mediation session or sessions. There are no administrative charges or hidden fees.
Never charged
There is no minimum or maximum session time. The first two hours of travel per round trip are free.
Travel beyond that
Billed at one half of the hourly rate, plus expenses.
Late arrivals
Billing starts at the time the mediation is scheduled to begin, so please arrive promptly.
Rescheduling
Mediations may be rescheduled or canceled with at least seven business days’ notice, as a courtesy to the other parties and to this office.

Many California neutrals publish half-day and full-day rates between $3,500 and $13,000, billed the same whether the case settles at ten in the morning or five in the evening. Tionna bills only the time actually spent!
